After reading the lecture of this module; we understand that stakeholders are a really important part of the projects. We also learned that we can classify them in:

Engaged stakeholders: that usually are easy to identify and that they play one or more roles in the projects, in other words, they are directly involved in the project.

Affected Stakeholders: as their classification says, they are affected by the changes done in the organization due to the project.

In this Market Basket case, the employees especially those in the cashier positions, are affected by the new projects because the number of positions as a cashier will decrease cause they are implementing the self-check-out stations. If we have an overview of this project we can conclude that this project has benefits for the costumers (engaged stakeholders) but it is going to "affect" the cashier employees (affected stakeholders).

In my opinion, the best way to make an affected stakeholder an engaged one is to make it part of the project, explain their role, and make them participate in every process so they get familiarity and get to understand that at the end of the day is a project that is going to benefit the whole organization and this will have more positives effects than just reducing the shift to he cashiers, "themore the stakeholders are recognized, the better the assumptions will be about how the project will be perceived by all those it affects".

Also,Joel DeLuca, in his bookPolitical Savvy stays a method where the project manager should identify the stakeholders that are in pro and those that are against, and then he stays that they need to make relationships stronger between those stakeholders and the ones in a pro will "influence" those against, given then arguments and showing them the benefits of the project.
