"Statistics don't lie but people do." This statement reveals how much the statistics, which is essentially based on math, produce accurate results. That's my interpretation of - statistics don't lie. I agree with this statement because the results of statistical studies can always be analysed and proven for what they are.The same statement tells us that even knowing that the results of statistical studies are always right, these results are susceptibles of people influence. That's what people do lie meansthese external influences on statistical results can cause an adverse outcome.

Many things can cause the influence statistical results. One of them is bias, which can play a role during question formulation, sampling or even interpretation of the research results. Human error impacts statistics in many ways.

Finally, I should say that the statement in the quote attempt to alert us about how well we should follow the rules and be careful during the statistical research studies. We should always verify our results and trust the science while being careful with what we do.
