Identify the methods used, in the identification of evidence:

Hair, hand writing , shoe prints, fingerprints, blood stains, bite marks, and tire marks are methods forensics techs use to identify evidence,

Describe at least three different method involved in the identification of evidence:

Shoe prints involved the tech matching the correct impression of the sole of the shoe to prove that person was involved in the crime(Gaensslen,2019, sec 8.3).

Bite Marks involved identifying the correct pattern of some ones teeth, so they measure the size of the teeth and how many teeth the person had to match the suspect to the scene of the crime( Gaensslen,2019, Sec 8.3).

Finger Prints are use to identify the ridges( arch, loops and whorls) of a person finger to the crime( Gaensslen,2019,sec 8.4).

Explain why these identification methods are appropriate for certain evidence , but in appropriate for other types:

AFIS is perfect for identifying the pattern of some ones fingerprint ,because everyone's print is unique. AFIS could not be use to identify people shoe, because there is more than one shoe that was created. When identifying the shoe size, the look for the weight of somebody, picture of the sole of someone shoes( Gaensslen, 2019. sec8.3). This could not be used to identify bite marks, because they couldn't get the weight of someone's teeth and there is no real pattern on the bottom of someone teeth. Bite marks are perfect for measuring the teeth of someone ,because they identify how many teeth someone has and if the teeth has a pattern or curve. They could not measure someone's shoe because the majority shoes are cut the the same way .

Explain how the identification methodology might affect laboratory testing:

When it comes to fingerprints, the tech puts ink on their fingers and tells them to press their finger on a card to get an impression(Gaennslen,2019, sec 8.5). If the finger print is not taken correctly, it might not be that visible when trying to get a match. This is why agencies switch to electronic systems.

Explain the requirements for the identification methodology related to admissibility of evidence at trial:

Evidence has to be done correctly and legally by a train tech, so the evidence is not admissible in court. Also, there has to be a chain of custody at all time, so the dense does not say the evidence was not properly secured.
