Understanding these effects is crucial for health professionals, especially nurses, who play a unique role in supporting patients and family members.

Nurses are usually on the front lines when it comes to taking care of stroke patients. Not only do they help in medical needs, but also meet psychological, emotional and spiritual needs. Research shows that spirituality can play a vital role to help patients and their families deal with the consequences of a stroke. For example, Gibbs et al. (2020) have highlighted how spirituality promotes resilience among storing survivors caregivers, offering it strength in difficult times. Similarly, Li et al. (2024) found that spiritual needs significantly influence the way people with stroke deal with their situation.
