I am a Yellow Belt and I apply the concepts learned in the courses on my job daily. What interest me was that everything in the business world is connected in healthcare. For example, Human Resources, Accounting and Lean Six Sigma concepts and processes are all connected in healthcare in some type of way. I am learning that my healthcare administration degree is nothing more than a business degree but it's just a specialty in healthcare. With Lean Six Sigma, it can be applied in business and in healthcare specifically in order to improve processes and quality. One of the methods that I like utilizing is the Ishikawa diagram, better known as the fishbone diagram, which identifies the root cause of issues or problems (American Society for Quality, 2025). This helps to identify many bottlenecks in processes and can also identify the cause and effect of the issues. It's great that the Juran Institute offers more in-depth knowledge about the Ishikawa diagram such as corrective action, preventative
