Report on Mr. Leebert Lowry Improper Uniform
A few weeks ago Mr. Leebert Lowry came to work in an army green three-quarter pants. I explained to him that it was not acceptable as to the company HSE policy plus it is inappropriate given the working environment we are working in. He explained that he got the approval from the RGM Mr. Sylvester so thats why he is in it. I did not give him the approval and asked him to go and change and we will seek further advice from management.
Now on Friday last 29 October, Mr. Leebert arrived to work in a blue three-quarter pants, on observation I got him in a meeting and once again explained the HSE standards and uniform acceptance to him. He did not change that day as we were short staff however I told him not to return to work in it or I will contact the HSE manager to clarify the matter. He did not give any input so I thought he understood and will comply.
On 1st November 2021, Mr. Lowry was once again observed in his short pants reporting to work. I immediately called him into a meeting and reported the matter to the HSE manager Mr. Ryan Ross where he spoke to Mr. Lowry via WhatsApp where he advised him that short pants is not part of the police plus not acceptable as part of the uniform for work. Mr. Lowry was instructed to go home and change into the proper uniform and report back to work. On the call was also the ROM Mr. Navin Seenath
Read the above report notes and then apply your newly acquired skills using grade 12 formality and jargon to the following scenarios:
You are a supervisor at your current place of employment OR a place of employment that you would like to work for in the future. You have noticed that one of your subordinates is in violation of the dress code that is in place for the company/agency/organization. This particular employee has worn attire that is far too casual for the workplace and on some occasions might have been considered in bad taste.
Write an email to this employee (make up a name and title) that includes a dress code policy memo as an attachment to notify him/her that compliance with the dress code is mandatory. Base the requirement on industry standards consistent with your major but DO NOT copy and paste an existing code AND indicate consequences for violating the policy.
*** You will write an email AND a separate directive memo
Make sure they follow the format on an E-MAIL and a MEMO and remember Visual Rhetoric
