Question:
Report Structure Scenario has been notified by the Work safe of the country (Australia)that the Distillation unit is considered a MHF, so it is necessary to submit a safety case within specific time frame. Work safe Australia considers Methanolis the only Schedule 9 material at the site and therefore the hazard identification will only consider operations that impact on Methanol processing, storage and transport which is the Distillation unit and associated facilities. Even though other processes occur on site, these will not be considered. As per Work safe Guidance note major incidents identified as; uncontrolled eg emission, lass involve release of schedule 9 material which pose a serious and immediate threat to health and safety. Issues such as the release of utilities (eg water/air) or slips, trips and falls are not included as major incidents as they are not the focus of the MHF regulations. This is your project to prepare a safety case for the Distillation unit, as per the Work Safe Guidance note the required safety case may include information regarding
