• Research an everyday device that transmits digital data.

• Design a diagram/poster that represents your device and the bit-sending technology used by your device.

• Include the name of your chosen device and picture(s), image(s), and/or graphics(s) that enhance the delivery of the displayed information. Some possible devices:
  • ethernet cable, wi-fi router, cell phone, cable TV, broadcast TV, satellite TV, fax machine, dial-up Internet, TV remote control, BlueTooth headset.

• Identify the system(s) used to send bits. (Electricity, Light, Radio - copper wire, fiber optic, radio waves, or something else).

• Identify the average bit rate of the device.

• Briefly explain how information may be lost using the device (hint: research the bit sending technology that it uses).

• Identify the first use and the current use status of the device.

• Provide references for your research. Do include references in your diagram (use smaller font and place on the bottom).

• Explain why this technology is used to perform its function as opposed to others that do the same.
