Research budgets. Research and locate three resources that explain how to create a budget, including how to gather your expenses and income and how to track your spending. Create a personalized budget template based on the best parts of each of the three resources you found. Your template might include information on how to gather and organize your income and expenses, tips for reducing expenses, or strategies for tracking it all. You should have a basic outline of what to include when budgeting, without your actual financial informationyet. Items to list in your template might include monthly expenses such as eating out, car payment, rent, phone bill, and so on. You might also want to build in an area for saving money each month.
