RESEARCH PROPOSAL ASSIGNMENT

Section A $$ Title, Background, Preliminary literature review, Problem statement, and research questions$/$hypotheses$.$

The proposal should clearly indicate the following elements:

Title: A title page with biographical information $($Name and department$)$ and the title of the proposed research that gives an accurate reflection of the contents, but which is short yet descriptive containing all elements of the intended study.

$1\mathrm{.}1$ Background and Context: Provide a background or introduction for the proposed research and offer a clear indication of the motivation or rationale why the research is important to conduct.

$1\mathrm{.}2$ Problem Statement: The research problem must be informed by debates, must be clearly formulated that captures the focus of the research and is congruent to the title and aim of the research. The problem should be suitable and realistic in terms of the scope for a minor dissertation.

$2.$ Preliminary literature review and Theoretical Framework: Literature relevant to the topic providing main trends$/$debates$/$arguments to sufficiently contextualise the topic in terms of previous research. Own headings and subheadings may be used. Clearly state what the theoretical framework of the study is$.$

$3.$ References: The references used in the proposal must be fully and correctly reported according to the TUT Harvard referencing method. At least twenty relevant references from scientific recognized journals are necessary.
