Researchers are finding that many demands and expectations keep workers at work longer, those workers are seeking community, security, and a sense of belonging at work that earlier generations would have discovered in off hours (Cartwright & Holmes, 2006). This means that employees are more likely to be influenced by cynicism if others in at their jobsite, feel that way.
