Resource Acquisition focuses on defining the needs for the project and obtaining the right resources for the team and other resources and tools available to manage the effort. In addition to the human resources other resources, including tools and equipment necessary for the accomplishment of the project are also obtained through the resource acquisition process. For the resource acquisition process to be successful, certain policies and procedures must be followed. Additionally, specific criteria must be followed when selecting the resources, including the number of the resources and the skillsets. The process of negotiating for the resources also need to be outlined. Lastly, proper documentation of the time required, skillsets, budget and accounting must be done
