In the modern day workplace we are influenced by the many different minds of managment past. One of our prime influences was the duo of Frank and Lillian Gilbreth. They are known for developing the best method to train and develop workers. They did this by recording their workers to pinpoint errors in their work and then train them the proper way. In doing so they coined the phrase "One best way." This placed an emphasis on reducing tasks to bare basic steps to do your work efficiently.
Today we see their influence with new hire process and continuing education in the workforce. When you get hired at a new company, mainly a corporate facility, you will have to sit through training videos on how to perform the job you are assigned. This is to teach you as they say "the one best way" to do your job. Then as you progress through the company they may require continuing education which will teach you new skills to further your work experience. The Gilbreths wanted the workforce to focus on a good healthy environment for workers and through their skill set of recording we are working to maintain that in today's day and age.
