Respond to classmates post: A- data analysis helps identify patterns or trends. Learning this has helped me a lot to notice the trends beginning to form and seeing from data what population, age, etc. is forming the trend. These trends can inform decision makers to make the best choices they can. Another thing that data analysis does is show how context matters. If raw data were simply put as is there would not be enough context to justify the data. Understanding the method, background, and how the data was collected is important to truly understand the states. C- examples to barriers to implementing evaluation and strategies to overcome is lack of resources. Many programs struggle with a lack of resources such as money. How to overcome this would be to seek external funds or collaborating with universities or institutions. There is a resistance to evaluation at times within a work place. This is due to employees being resistance to negative feedback. A strategy to overcome this is promoting the evaluation as a tool for improvement. "it is important to create a trusting relationship with those affected by the evaluation through continuous participation and communication, and to conduct carefully planned, methodologically appropriate evaluations." (Taut, 2003)
