Respond to The tool that I have chose from chapter 19 is the Just-in-time (JIT) inventory, I currently own my own business and we do concrete work, and we use the JIT method as this prevents us from having to store materials as well as carry an overhead of materials. If we order the supplies per job just in time for each job we dont risk losing money by carrying the high overhead and materials potentially getting ruined from weather or careless acts. When you purchase materials ahead of time often you may not need that specific size wood for forms or the specific bricks, every homeowner has their own style and preference, so each job is individualized. There are some materials in which we do purchase more ahead of time as they are the materials we know we will use on every single job. This method has worked well for us thus far and we are 2 years into owning our business.
