Open-to-learning conversations allow leaders to share their concerns with staff while also giving them the opportunity to explain their side and open a conversation with one another. Second, building relational trust with staff is also important for leaders. The level of trust among coworkers affects the way they work together and the students' social and academic success. A leader can build trust by modeling and expecting the four qualities that create trust, respect, personal regard, competence, and integrity. Third, expert principles are more open to finding alternative solutions to problems and seeking out input and advice from others instead of relying solely on their own abilities and interpretations. They share their views, but don't force them upon anyone else. They want problem solving to be a collaborative process and not an individual problem (Grogan, 2013)
