Respondby explaining why you agree or disagree with them. Support your ideas with research.
The criteria that I would use to analyze whether change in an organization was successful would consist of measuring the outcome of the metrics that would be affected by the change. These would include the KPIs specifically that were put in place to address the success of the change. I would also analyze the benefits that the company was realizing from a returnoninvestment perspective due to an improvement in either expense savings or revenue generation.
These KPIs are all related to company performance. They will provide us with actual measurable outcomes that affect the companys bottom line. At the end of the day change needs to be effective to better position the company to increase revenues and or save expenses. These both affect the bottom line. If the change, we are putting in place does not affect the companys financial performance in a positive way then we must ask why we are creating change.
Next, I would analyze how we accomplished our KPIs and achieved the ROI that we planned based on the change. This would include evaluating our effectiveness in communicating the change throughout the organization.
There are several questions that we would want answered through our data and information gathering analysis post change. As leaders, did we provide clear communication to our employees that explained the reason for the change? The communication evaluated would include what outcomes we desired to achieve and why this was important to our company.
We would also want to know if we carried out the change within the planned timeframe, or did it take longer because of a lack of employee engagement. Was the staff excited and motivated by the change and did they see it as a benefit for them as well as an employee? Did we provide the proper training and development so that our teams could effectively embrace the change and perform at a high level to assist in completing the change correctly and on time?
Finally, we would utilize an employee survey to gain firsthand feedback from the employees to gauge their thoughts about the change. We would be able to use the survey to effectively measure employee engagement in the effectiveness of the change process. This would help us to address issues that could affect future changes as well as plan ways to best engage our employees going forward post the change process. What methods do you think are most effective for maintaining employee engagement and motivation throughout a change process?
