Position: Socialization is the process of learning appropriate social behavior as well as the social interaction with other people. Ely socialization, we can progressively learn to see ourselves through the eyes of others, which helps us understand who we are and how we fit into the world. Assumption 1: We are impacted by socialization in a wide range of unseen and obvious ways. With socialization, it helps us understand who we are as a person. Whether that be our sexuality, gender identity, or even what group we fit into in society. Our distinct social experiences have a direct impact on our thoughts, which explains why our minds understand and respond to events and circumstances differently. With that said, our mentalities are shaped by th e specific socialization patterns w e have. According to conflict theory, socialization and society are the outcomes of underlying conicts between opposing groups, with an emphasis on human behavior and personal relationships. Having stated that, people's decisions are inuenced by the groups they choose to associate with. These related groups are seen as nerdy, dru grelated, or even popular groups. So me people make wise selections, while others choose foolishly. With socialization, peer pressure is a significant factor. This pressure is detrimental and may lead to an increase in crime. When people use violence to solve problems instead of using words, conversation, or sociolizing, they are bringing negative inuences from internetbased absorption into these social groupings. These influences include television series that deal with murder or suicide and showing violence worldwide. Implication: I've come to the conclusion that while some people are courageous enough to be themselves and reject these beliefs, others are following society's rules and acting like everyone else.
