In the article, an organization called the World Economic Forum, and its founder Klaus Schwab were accused of and sued for discrimination concerning race and pregnancy. A former employee who held the position of the policy expert for the organization named Topaz Smith found that she was being terminated from her position after coming back from her maternity leave. Along with this, the World Economic Forum would regularly compensate or pay for travel to annual conferences for white employees but would refuse to do so for their black employees. If I were to be faced with this situation in the future as an HR manager, I believe preventing these allegations would be best as there is not much that can be done after the lawsuit. One management practice would be to ensure there is strong leadership.
