RESPONSE TO THIS POST-The biggest barrier I feel I would face is the ability to get others to join me, and voice their opinion. It is well known that nurses fear punishment and feel lack of institutional support when it comes to advocating and standing up for change (Mason et al., 2020). In fact, nurses are more likely to advocate for their patients, then they are for themselves. Ways to boost advocacy include having confidence in what you are standing up for, which comes with research, proof that there is a real issue, and support from others
