Count the number of values in the data set

Divide the sum by the count

REVIEW IT: Finding the median

The median is the most informative measure of central tendency for skewed distributions or distributions with outliers. To find the median, first order your data. Then calculate the middle position based on n, the number of values in your data set.

If n is an odd number, the median lies at the position (n+1) / 2.

If n is an even number, the median is the mean of the values at position n / 2 and ( n/2) + 1.
