I found Tom Randall not guilty because although there was evidence he was possibly careless with who was allowed to drink at the party, he was not initiating their drinking nor pressuring or forcing anyone to partake in alcoholic beverages. He wasn't forcing anyone to drink against their will. He wasn't forcing people to leave his party or to drive home. Tom Randall had minimal interactions with Kelly throughout the night and could not be expected to keep track of one individual attending his party all night. He was friendly with her as he was with everyone at the party by doing his best hosting at his party. He wouldn't have been able to keep track of how many drinks everyone had. While he could have helped prevent this tragedy, he can't be blamed for Kelly's decisions, only for having a poor judgment on her level of sobriety.
