Robots are able to carry out every work more effectively and efficiently than a man can do, which is replacing manual work at a fast rate throughout the world. Hence one of such application of robot could be WAITER ROBOTS.

Robotic waiter is creating huge attraction in restaurants, hotels. A robotic waiter with integrated technology is an ideal solution for restaurants. Many problems can be observed in restaurants and cafes such as overcrowding of customers and lacking for waiters. These problems can be addressed by using the robotic techniques. A waiter robot and a smart restaurant are designed to provide better services for customers. The robots can response to a lighting signal from any table in order to provide the restaurant services for that location. In addition, the customer can use an Electronic- Menu (E- Menu) which is embedded within the robot to select his/her order. The order will be sent to the kitchen chef and the kitchen chef will process the order. Once the food is ready, the kitchen chefs declare the order is ready and it can be communicated to Robotic waiter also. Consequently, it can be delivered to the determined table by the waiter robot. The restaurant administrator prepare the bill as per order from the customer and also responsible for collecting the money from the customer.
