SCS staff can help those people who are ready for detox, treatment and recovery services as well as other direct them to health care and social services. Consumption sites are set up in areas with high rates of public drug use. Governments are proposing new quality standards to improve community safety, provide higher quality services and increase integration with the health-care system.
