You have been assigned to work with a group of two employees on a project assessing the outcomes of homelessness in the downtown Hillside community. Your group consists of two individuals who reside in different sections of the community. One individual lives in the suburbs and the other lives in the downtown Hillside area.

Over the past two years, there has been a rise in the number of homeless individuals in the Hillside community. The group met to discuss the specifics of the project and ways to move forward with gathering the statistics of homelessness. During the first discussion, the member of the group who resides in the suburb stated that she felt that homeless people are not motivated to work, which contributes to their homelessness. She also shared with the group that she did not believe she should be included in the study because she did not feel motivated to be a part of the assessment.
