Use observation table (below) to record your predictions and observations. Trail A 2. Ground your electroscope by touching the metal knob (top) with your hand 3. Charge the ebonite rod by rubbing it with the fur. 4. Brush the ebonite rod against the top of the electroscope. Record your observations of the electroscope leaves using a labelled diagram. 5. Rub the ebonite rod with the fur again. Bring it near, but not touching, the top of the electroscope. Record your observations using a labelled diagram. 6. Charge the glass rod by rubbing it with silk. Bring the glass rod near, but not touching, the top of the electroscope. Record your observations using a labelled diagram. 7. Touch the top of the electroscope with your hand (to ground electroscope). Trial B 8. Repeat steps 2-5 using a glass rod charged with silk. Use a charged ebonite rod in step 6 . Repeat step 7.
