Question:
Scientists want to compare the density of organisms (in # of organisms/square meter) in 2 different locations. The statistics for n=12 are below
Location 1: Mean = 9168.75 SD = 3700.57
Location 2: Mean = 2168.33 SD = 815.26
These samples were collectd from populations that are normally, independently distributed with different variances. Can we conclude that the mean densities in the two locations are different? Use alpha = 0.05.
