Scope Statement:

You are the project manager for the Cloud Computing Project. The company$$s CIO, Ben, is the project sponsor, and Ito is the IT manager for the Cloud Computing Program. Now you need to put together your project team and get to work on this high$-$visibility project. You will work with Ben to hand$-$pick your team. Ben had already worked with the HR department to advertise team openings internally and outside the company. Ben also used his personal contacts to let people know about this important project. In addition, you are encouraged to use outside consultants and other resources as appropriate. Initial estimates suggest that about $$200,000$ of the funds budgeted for this project will go to internal staffing, and the rest will go to outside sources. You will produce formal project proposals to implement cloud$-$computing technologies. You are expected to tap into resources that are available from the various cloud$-$computing providers, so you need to include some of those resources in your project budget. Proposals are quite detailed as well; they often reference other research and include a detailed business case.

Remember the goals of the project:

$1)$ Migrate all unclassified systems to a cloud$-$computing provider in order to reduce operating costs.

$2)$ Provide extensive reports and timelines, including detailed financial analysis and recommendations for the migration to cloud$-$computing technologies.

$3)$ Complete project without exceeding budget of $$600,000,$ and finish within the eight$-$month time frame.

You should list the goals clearly in the justification and success areas of scope statement so that anyone can read the scope statement and have a good understanding of the project and it's goals.

Develop a scope statement for the project using the template provided below $($scope$\_$statement.docx$).$ Be as specific as possible in describing the cloud computing project$/$case characteristics and deliverables. Refer to the example of the scope statement provided in chapter $3$ of the book to guide you.
