Section 2: Market Analysis
Baltimore county and Baltimore city represent a wide variety of economic status. The demographics for the county and city are very diverse. There are many churches and schools in the surrounding communities where events, festivals and gatherings are held. These locations are perfect for our pay what you can food truck because large events often need food options.
There are zero to no pay what you can food options in the Baltimore area. Pennsylvania had 2 restaurants striving for this, but with the pandemic, I dont think they were able to reopen. One was called Heartshine in Harrisburg, PA. the other was part of a large church, Grace Fellowship Shrewsbury
An organization called One World Everybody Eats supports the new startups and cafes who have adopted the pay what you can model. The mission of this organization is to "increasing food security and building community through the pay-what-you-can nonprofit restaurant model" (One World Everybody Eats).
