Section $5\mathrm{.}4$: CCDP for Automatic Start of the HPSI System

Maintenance was performed on the automatic actuation system and it was discovered that there was a miscalibration error that would have prevented a start signal from being automatically sent to start the HPSI pumps. This means that if a LLOCA event had occurred, the only way to send a start signal to the HPSI pumps would have been an operator action.

Determine and document the CDF from LLOCA with the event modeling the signal failed $($set to $1\mathrm{.}0).$

It has been $6$ months since the last time we know the start signal was calibrated and tested successfully. Calculate the amount of time it takes to accumulate $1$E$-06$ LLOCA CCDP$.$ Document the calculation.

The plant is in violation of NRC regulations if the time the plant was in this configuration exceeds the amount of time it takes to accumulate $1$E$-06$ LLOCA CCDP$.$ Determine and document if the plant is in violation.
