The Danaasi subsidiary in Ghana employs mostly third country nationals. Although ice cream manufacturing is a relatively safe job, there are still numerous ways that employees consistently get hurt on the job. For example, there are accident reports of injuries sustained by falling off ladders while changing displays, incorrectly using boxcutters to open packages, or not following correct procedures while cleaning the processing machines. Danaasi Ghana is however not investing in employee health and safety.
