He believes that Chira's promotion is not based on his performance and skill. Instead, Sopheap strongly believes that his own skill, knowledge and competencies are much higher than that of Chira. His perception was that Madame Rany intentionally bypassed his promotion in favor of Chira because he is her favorite subordinate as he never refused any work assigned to him. Having this perception, Sopheap began to change from a positive attitude to a negative attitude towards his boss.
