Project Concept I. Project Name LDAS Client Portal II. Business Need LDAS offers software development and maintenance services to many clients, which require huge amounts of communication. Although LDAS PMs try to follow the development standard processes defined by the LDAS PMO, they use the template spreadsheets and consequently they spend a lot of their time explaining the process to the clients. Their times is also consumed by dealing with large number of enquiries from the clients regarding the status of their projects. The management has decided to invest in developing a portal to help not only our clients to have better visibility of the progress their projects, and instant status reports, but also to help our project managers in providing consistent project scheduling, and better project tracking. The project must be completed within 6 months from initiation, and it should cost less than 100K USD. III. Project Description The main purpose of this project is to develop a web-based website for LDAS clients and LDAS project managers to facilitate the management of the projects and to act as a unified project management tool for scheduling, tracking, and reporting. IV. Project Objective(s) in relation to Business Need Use standardized online project management tools in order to provide consistent project status reports to all clients, as well as to help LDAS PMs to manage their projects.
