Steps

a$)$ Create a Part list and Bill of Materials to identify your $10$ items $($make sure you

specify the size of individual parts and type$)$

b$)$ Decide on how you will store each part and name the storage method explicitly.

c$)$ Shortly state your targeted storage quantities for the week.

d$)$ Determine the area needed for each part as well as the cubic space for each

item. $($Linbins$,$ pallets, shelves, floor storage areas etc $-$ see photos in textbook

and you can google as well$).$ Remember your pen that you write with maybe

$8$ mm by $80$ mm but if stored in a drawer then the quantity of pens per drawer

and the drawer size becomes the values that you will use to determine space

required.

e$)$ Decide which and what material handling method and equipment you will use.

f$)$ Determine the space needed for your material handling method and equipment.

g$)$ Create a rough drawing using the above calculated sizes.

h$)$ Use Visio to draw the warehouse,

i$)$ Write a report and make sure you reference everything to a page number and

paragraph in your textbook.
