      • You may or may not like the organization; that is, it may be a place you go by preference or it may be a place you go to out of necessity. It can be a large organization or a little "mom and pop" type of place. This will be the company that has hired you and for which you are "going undercover" to have a look at their culture.
      • Make sure it is an organization where you feel confident developing assumptions about its overall culture and leadership from having shopped there and interacted with store personnel, such as the cashiers, delivery people, other customers, salespeople, shelf stockers, the management, servers, etc., as applicable. In this assignment, you will need to go there at least twice. It is not required that you spend any money at the organization, but if you choose a restaurant, it would be awkward if you only went in and looked around.
      • As you analyze and evaluate the organization you have chosen, try to look with fresh eyes and an objective view, even if you really like the place and don't see any glaring "issues." You will think about what the culture is really like, the forces that are acting on the culture, and what the organization could do to improve the culture in significant ways, even if the changes are small, among other things.
   3. By the due date indicated, send an email or Canvas message to your instructor, identifying which organization you wish to analyze. It is important to not let classmates know which organization you chose.
   4. By Thursday, create a discussion post in which you:
      • Identify the type of organization only (do not name it).
      • In a paragraph or two, briefly explain why you have chosen that type of organization.
      • Explain, in some detail, your predictions about the culture—what you think you will find out and why? For example, predict what kind of culture the organization has, some of its assumptions, behaviors, values, etc.
