Once you have selected a social problem, find two organizations (or groups) that advocate within this space (search websites, reports, etc.)
Compare and contrast the two organizations or groups, following the Six Ingredients of Social Problems (see attached). You may focus on the organization, as a whole, or choose a specific program within the organization.

Adverse social situation (what is/are the problem/s?)
Advocate group (who are they? how are they organized?)
Ameliorating effects (proposed change/s)
Action group (who is actually carrying out the actual change? (executives, community members, volunteers, etc?)
Will to act (who bears the costs of action? (govt, donors, individuals, private sector, etc)
Answer the above questions for both organizations. Write a report and summarize highlights in a table.
