The compensation committee. It meets yearly to review statt pay grades, high workload pay

rates. and bonuses. This committee is made up of mostly senior lawyer associates and

partners at the firm but there is one staft position available. Deacon served on the

compensation committee at his last firm.

The social events committee. It meets monthly with members from the firm's other offices to

exchange ideas for social events, plan a firm$-$wide retreat, connect employees and attorneys

throughout the firm, and address common work issues. As a new employee, Deacon only

Knows a handtul ot employees and a tew attorneys at the corporate ottice.

The business planning committee. It meets monthly and is a highly active committee

responsible for making recomendations for marketing firmew businesses and reviewing

new business contracts for the firm. This committee is comprised of lawyer senior associates,

partners, and unior associates. You figure you could let Deacon attend meetings to observe

the lawvers
