Description
This assignment covers the different representations of a combinational circuit and requires you to apply the conversion process to convert between these different circuit representations.
In this assignment you will create two logic components from scratch: encoder and priority encoder only using the three basic logic gates: AND, OR NOT. This will be done by using the design process covered in lectures designing a truth table, deriving Boolean equations from the table, creating a circuit from equations With those components, you will create a test circuit, which allows the user to compare the behavior of these two encoder variants.
Tasks
This assignment has three parts:
Create a design document for the encoder and priority encoder.
Create the circuits in Logisim Evolution.
After testing and using the circuit, answer a set of questions.
