Session 1 Capstone Assignment: Part I

Introduction (one to two paragraphs)

Background of the project topic or issue (one to two pages): How did you select this topic or issue? What will be the setting for the project? Who will be your contact there? What is the perceived need for the project? What does the literature have to say about the importance of the issue or topic?

SMART Goals (one to two paragraphs or you can use bullet points): What will this project accomplish? (State at least three goals using the SMART model)

Initial Project Design (one to two pages): Present the initial project design as a diagram or flow chart with accompanying one to two paragraphs. Include the systems or steps in the project that you will be using (informatics, data systems, personnel systems, management systems, etc.). Also include a rough breakdown of responsibilities, materials, equipment, or timelines.
