Several quality control techniques can be used to ensure that the packages are packaged at the correctweight. The process/technique that would use is the control chart or Shewart Chart. Using a controlchart, we will be able to monitor the process for changes that will affect the mean (i.e., the weight of 12oz). Through monitoring the process, we will monitor the process and identify the changes to ensurethat the company is within the maximum allowable variance. "Themain idea of using a control chart to monitor a process is that if the process stays in control,observations will stay within a certain distance of the mean (at least with very high probability)" (Sharpeet al., 2019, p. 22-5). I will put control limits in place that will help us see when it is time to take actionand correct the variations within the process. When the weight is outside the control limit of one ounceover or one once under, we will know that there is an error within the process, and we need to addressit. When a package is over the upper control limit of 13 ounces or under the lower control limit of 11ounces, it will be flagged, and the system will make an annotation and send an alert that there is anerror
