Share an insight you gained from a colleague's post about how data can be visualized.For my data, I used the NBA and how all 30 teams and utilize their players based on a variety of metrics such as usage rate, assist rate, and shot selection. This helps to identify which players are dominant in scoring, playmaking, or defensive roles across different teams. The visualization set of data is primarily descriptive because it summarizes current and past player data to reveal trends in player usage and team strategy. However, analysts might use insights from it to make predictive assessments for player performance or matchup outcomes. NBA teams, coaches, and sports analysts could use this tool to tailor game strategies, make roster decisions, or prepare scouting reports. For example, if a team sees that an opponent relies heavily on one high-usage player, they may plan defensive tactics to contain that player. Sports media companies or fantasy league participants might also use it to enhance commentary or make roster picks based on player efficiency and roles.
