Share your answer for the following post: A really well-written post! I really do like the fact that with right-to-work laws, there are no deductions or repercussions if you decide to not be a member of the union. On the other side of the coin, there are just as many disadvantages in comparison to the advantages. Employees cannot have a say in how they feel, they are automatically just put into a union. Along with that, their hard-earned money is taken away from their paycheck to cover dues that could be saved towards the employee's expenses, and this is not just a small amount of money either which can really hurt that individual. If you are an employee that knows that they will be at the job for a short amount of time, then you suffer because you essentially do not have a voice in a union whose responsibility includes being the voice of the employees. Do you believe that Illinois would be better off being a right-to-work state or not?
