Sheila, an elderly lady, is finding it difficult to look after her garden. She asks her friend and neighbour, Deidre, if Deidre will help out by mowing her lawn and weeding once a week and Deidre says she will. After a few weeks, Deidre, somewhat embarrassed, asks Sheila when she will be paid. Sheila, even more embarrassed, replies that she had assumed Deidre was simply doing her a favour as a good neighbour. Deidre explains she is very short of money, cannot work for free for anyone, and needs to charge 10 per hour. Sheila agrees to pay for future work but is unwilling to pay for the work already done.
