1. PL Developments makes plastic bottles for the health care industry. It fills them with a variety of chemicals at its Clinton manufacturing facility. All the bottles are useable and will not burst during the filling and transportation process. However, if you inspect the bottles closely, most bottles have tiny cosmetic imperfections such as little extra flaps of plastic on the outside, a little bump on the side of the bottle, or a piece of lint imbedded in the side of the plastic. Each small imperfection is called a defect. The following table shows the number of defects per bottle. Find the mean number of defects the, UCL, and LCL of this process.
