Hiring Restaurant Managers

Final Paper Due 10/1/2023 at end of day (11:59pm) with a grace period until 10/8/2023.

The purpose of this exercise is to help student understand the hiring process. Each student will be responsible for designing and implementing a process to hire 3 Assistant Restaurant Managers. The exercise will proceed as follows:

1) The student will design hiring strategy which is submitted below along with your resume book selections (50 points; 5%).

a) The names of the schools from where you will be recruiting. You may choose from the following schools.

i) Georgias City College (Local Community-Oriented College)

ii) National University (Prestigious National University)

iii) State University of Hartforde (Well Respected State University)

b) The methods you will use to initially screen the applicants

i) What information will you use to screen applicants (e.g.,education, work experience, gpa, etc) based on the resume data?

ii) What will be your decision criteria to transition the applicant to candidate status (e.g., minimum education, minimum gpa, minimum work experience)? Explain why.

c) Once you have your list of screened applicants, what will the selection process look like?

i) What selection devices/assessments will you use?

ii) What is the order in which you will give the assessments?

iii) Will you use a multiple hurdle approach, or a compensatory model? Describe your approach, step by step. If you are using multiple hurdle, what is your criteria for moving to the next hurdle? If you are using a compensatory model, how will the criteria be weighted?

d) Calculate your estimated budget for hiring.
