Situational Interview Questions
1) Skill/competency being tested: Problem resolution (the ability to solve problems)
You have a relatively short shooting day. You get home at 1 in the afternoon. You have time to rest and relax, and even planned to go to lunch with a good friend you haven't seen in a long time. Suddenly you receive a phone call from a work colleague. In two hours, she must be at a client's house to shoot a family photo session with their new puppy, but she's not feeling well and asks you for a favor - to take her place and shoot this session. You agree, pack the equipment, and start driving to the customer who is an hour away from you. When you arrive at the client's house, he is surprised to see you and says that the session is scheduled to take place in three days and shows you the confirmation email. What would you do in such a situation?

2) Skill/competency being tested: The ability to accept criticism
You are in the office, just finishing editing an album of photos you took two days ago. The photo session was held for a large dry dog food company. Since it's a big client, you've been working on editing the photos for two days and it's important to you that each photo looks better than the previous one. You even missed lunch today because you were so busy doing your job to the best of your ability. Your manager enters the office and sits down in the chair next to you. He looks at the image displayed on your screen and makes a strange face. "The picture is excellent, but the blur in the background is really not necessary in my opinion." He points out as he takes the mouse and continues to scroll through the edited and finished images. "This blur appears in all the images? I think this is a bad choice. I know the client, and the big companies don't like the blur in the background, for marketing reasons. If you have time today, please eliminate this blur in all the images. It will better meet the needs of the customer". You don't agree with his opinion at all and think that the client will like the editing you did to the photos. What would you say or do in such a situation?
