1. You know that there are various types of wastes within manufacturing, which was proposed by Taiichi Ohno. Assume that you have been asked to provide consultancy on lean thinking to a Hospital (for example, the multi-speciality hospitals such as Apollo, Fortis, Medanta, etc.). Give an example for each type of waste from the perspective of such a high-end hospital and suggest a suitable solution to eliminate/reduce these wastes. Provide your answer in a tabular format with 1st column representing the type of waste, 2nd column describing the example for each waste, while the 3rd column contains AT LEAST 5 solutions for eliminating/reducing any of the wastes. (Note: Each solution proposed should be unique and meant to cut only one type of waste. No two solutions should be repeated. For example, repeated movement of nurses cannot be used to reduce motion waste and over-processing waste. It should be considered for only one of the waste.
