a. A brief overview of your selected organization.

b. The principal challenge impacting the organization. Please note that it is important that your challenge be quantifiable and based on research.

c. The likely cause of the challenge and how other companies have addressed the same or similar issue. This form of benchmarking adds considerable influence to your preferred solution.

d. The direct effects the problem creates (be sure the effects are measurable).

e. The individuals that are or could be impacted by the problem.

f. A comprehensive, direct, measurable multi-step solution plan that will address and resolve your challenge.

• How you will communicate your plan.
• g. Adetailed measurement planthat will assess the metrics or criteria you are proposing to determine the effectiveness of your solution plan.

Solution planning and implementation can be costly, and a clear plan that measures the effectiveness of a solution following implementation is of utmost importance. There are some guidelines when determining the effectiveness of a solution, and those rules must be followed. Those guidelines include: 1. The goals of your solution plan should align with the problem/issue you identified. 2. Align the goals of your solution plan with the problem/issue you identified. 3. Define the criteria you are using to measure effectiveness clearly and succinctly. 4. Determine a minimum acceptable level of performance and be sure it can be supported with research (also assess how much change will be/is necessary to support the solution). 5. Your assessment items must be measurable (that is, quantifiable). 6. Determine a measurement instrument for each of the solution plan's goals [why the shift to use of "program?"]. 7. Present a pictorial summary of overall effectiveness in a graphic form that the reader can scan at a glance.
