You have taken the information you know already and have started working on an informational requirements matrix, which is incomplete at this stage.

THE CONCEPTUAL SOLUTION

Initial requirements for the Healthy Food Project have been drawn up and signed off. Before taking this project further, it is important for any stakeholders who make approve$/$decline decisions to understand the structure and functioning of the proposed solution.

SOLUTION ACQUISITION

A decision needs to be made as to how the new Healthy Food system will be acquired and implemented. Healthy Food does not currently employ any IT staff, although it does have an ongoing maintenance contract with the web development company that created their existing customer website. You realise that there are several aspects to consider when recommending how to acquire the IT systems needed, and you have identified possible solution acquisition options that address some of these aspects. For each option, you have made a recommendation and provided some justification. The solution acquisition plan is incomplete at this stage.

IMPACT ASSESSMENT

The expected return on investment will strongly influence FarmSA in making a final decision as to whether to proceed with the Healthy Food project or not. You have decided to begin by performing an effort analysis and impact assessment on the Healthy Food project, to enable you to evaluate the likely impact of the solution and the effort that will be required to deliver it$.$

RISK ANALYSIS

The proposed new system will result in changes to existing operational, management and accounting processes at Healthy Food. On the positive side, increased processing automation will reduce workloads and opportunities for human error, and electronic communication will streamline interactions with suppliers and clients. It has become clear that risk management is going to be very important in the project. Without effective risk management in place, it will be very difficult to gain approval for the project to move on from the initial investigation phase. It is$,$ therefore, important that an effective risk management plan is submitted to the project steering committee for consideration.
