Some damages are easy to prove - doctors' bills, auto repair bills, lost wages and the like - but how do you go about assessing damages for pain and suffering? Or for loss of consortium? If you are seriously injured, you (or your spouse/partner) are entitled to these damages, but how would you approach putting a dollar figure on them?
